Child & Youth Support
Are you concerned about your child? Do you think that they are too isolative or too quiet, do they have anger problems, or their behaviour is disrupting the household or the school environment. Are you concerned about how much your child is eating, are they self-harming or appear overwhelmed with life. Do they display signs of anxiety or depression, or are they confused about their sexuality. Is your child diagnosed with a mental health issue or is struggling with medical issues. Here at the Holistic Family Centre, we are dedicated to addressing these life challenges.
Jessica has extensive experience working with children and young people who are difficult to engage or have disengaged from clinic-based services. This also includes working with children and young people in the care of child protection. Jessica is passionate about fostering healing for children and youth who have experienced trauma and unrest in any form throughout their lives. She is driven by Social Work values, including service to humanity, social justice, dignity and worth of the individual, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence. These are not just her professional values; she embodies them in all aspects of her life. She believes having someone feel comfortable to open up to her and tell their story is one of life’s greatest gifts. Jessica is committed to walking the path with her clients to bring about positive changes.

Jessica has a humanistic approach to practice, adopting a recovery-oriented framework (focusing on the individual and not just their symptoms). She uses a range of therapeutic modalities and theories as she is aware not one therapy suits everyone. Some include Mentalisation Based Therapy, Circle Of Security (Attachment-Based Therapy), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, expressive based therapies (movement, art and music), family intervention and grief and loss. Jessica is particularly passionate about childhood trauma, grief and loss and gender and sexual identity.
Jessica offers sessions in the clinic and home visits and out in the community wherever you feel comfortable, for example, a park or a café.
